Your inventory stays local
Inventory items, attached files, product photos, warranty data, maintenance history, preferences, and manual backups are stored on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Ads and analytics are used
Owndex uses Google services for ads, consent management, analytics, crash reports, Play Services, and Play Billing. These services may process device and usage data under their own policies.
No account is required
Owndex does not require an Owndex account and does not operate its own cloud sync service for your inventory data.
1. Information You Provide or Create
When you use Owndex, you may create or attach information such as:
- Inventory item names, categories, locations, serial numbers, purchase dates, estimated values, warranty information, and maintenance notes.
- Photos, receipts, manuals, PDFs, and other documents that you attach to inventory items.
- App preferences such as currency, theme, alert settings, onboarding state, and premium access state.
- Manual backup files that you choose to export, import, store, or share outside the app.
Owndex stores this user-created inventory content in the app's local storage on your Android device. LTeam does not automatically upload this inventory content to LTeam servers.
2. Information Collected Automatically
Owndex uses Firebase Analytics to understand broad app usage and improve the app. Analytics events may include screen views, feature usage, onboarding status, item-count ranges, document-count ranges, warranty status ranges, alert-level ranges, currency preference, premium state, and ad lifecycle events.
Owndex is designed to avoid sending the exact names, serial numbers, document contents, images, receipts, maintenance notes, or exact inventory values that you enter. Some analytics properties are grouped into ranges or simple states instead of raw item details.
Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash reports and diagnostics such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash traces, timestamps, and other technical data needed to diagnose app errors.
3. Advertising, Consent, and Purchases
Owndex is an ad-supported app and may show app open ads, banner ads, native ads, or rewarded ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and related Google services may collect or receive identifiers, approximate location, device information, IP address, app activity, diagnostics, and advertising interaction data to provide ads, measure performance, prevent fraud, and comply with legal requirements.
Owndex uses Google's User Messaging Platform where required to request and manage ad privacy choices. Depending on your region and settings, you may be able to choose whether ads are personalized.
Owndex may offer premium features or subscriptions through Google Play Billing. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. LTeam receives purchase status information needed to unlock premium features, but does not receive your full payment card details.
You can manage ad personalization and advertising ID settings through your Android device settings and Google's ad settings.
4. Scanner, OCR, and Product Lookup Features
Owndex includes optional tools that help fill item details faster:
- Barcode and QR code scanning uses Google Play Services / ML Kit scanner components.
- Text recognition can read text from an image that you select or capture.
- Product lookup can send a scanned barcode to open product databases, including Open Food Facts, Open Products Facts, and Open Beauty Facts.
- If you choose to fetch details from a scanned product link or website, Owndex may request that page and read product metadata such as title, image, category, warranty text, and price information.
These features are optional. When an external website or open product database is contacted, that third party may receive technical request information such as your IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp.
5. Permissions and Device Features
Owndex may use the following Android permissions or system features:
- Internet: used for ads, analytics, crash reporting, consent management, purchases, product lookup, and product metadata fetching.
- Notifications: used to send local reminders for warranty expiration and maintenance checks if you enable reminders and grant notification permission.
- Camera, photos, and document pickers: used through Android system flows when you choose to capture or attach photos, receipts, PDFs, manuals, or other files.
- Biometric or device credential authentication: used only if you enable app lock. Authentication is handled by Android; Owndex does not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, or device credential.
- Backup and device transfer: Android or Google backup mechanisms may back up app data depending on your device and account settings. Manual Owndex backup exports are created only when you choose to export them.
6. Third-Party Services
Owndex may use the following third-party services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms:
7. How Information Is Used
Information handled by Owndex is used to:
- Provide inventory tracking, document attachment, product lookup, reminders, app lock, backup, restore, and sharing features.
- Show and measure ads, manage ad consent, and support premium purchase flows.
- Understand app usage patterns and improve reliability, usability, performance, and feature quality.
- Detect, diagnose, and fix crashes or technical issues.
- Respond to support requests when you choose to contact LTeam.
8. Sharing and Disclosure
LTeam does not sell your inventory records, receipts, photos, documents, or maintenance notes. Information may be shared or processed in these cases:
- With third-party service providers listed in this policy, as needed to provide ads, analytics, crash reporting, billing, consent, scanning, and related app functionality.
- With external apps or storage locations when you intentionally export a backup, attach a file, open a document, share an item summary, or send a support email.
- When required to comply with law, enforce policies, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect rights, safety, and security.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Inventory content stored locally remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, restore/import another backup, or otherwise remove it through Android or Owndex features.
Manual backup files remain wherever you choose to save them. If you share or upload a backup to another service, that service's own policy applies.
Analytics, crash, ads, billing, and product lookup data processed by third-party services are retained according to those providers' policies and your account/device settings.
10. Security
Owndex uses Android app storage, Android permission controls, FileProvider sharing, and optional biometric/device-credential app lock to help protect your information on your device. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, lock screen, backups, exported files, and any external storage or cloud service you choose to use.
11. Children's Privacy
Owndex is not directed to children under 13. LTeam does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Owndex, contact LTeam so appropriate action can be taken.
12. International Use
Third-party services used by Owndex may process information on servers located in different countries. By using Owndex, you understand that technical, analytics, advertising, crash, billing, consent, or lookup data may be processed outside your country of residence according to the applicable third-party policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
LTeam may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Owndex after a policy update means you accept the updated policy.
